All Star Wekend

So the NBA just took a break for the annual All-Star Weekend. The weekend was filled with numerous activities and events. The first major event was friday and was the Celebrity All-Star Game. The game was full of amazing stars.

The first event on Saturday was the D-League game. The game consist of players from various teams coming together and playing against each other. After that was the Haier Shooting Stars competition. The competition consist of a few NBA and WNBA players from the same state. Each teams has one previous player one, one current NBA player, and one WNBA player. The competition is also timed. New York won with the fastest time.

Afterwards was the Taco Bell Skills challenge. The competition tests the players ability to shoot, pass, and ball handling. The first round has 6 and half are cut for the final round. The Spurs guard, Tony Parker (who is a veteran in the challenge) won with a time of 29.2 seconds.

The next event was The Foot Locker 3 point contest. The contest was an absolute shock as the winner was Kevin Love who is power forward crushed James Jones, Kevin Durant, and more.

The final event of Saturday was the Sprite Slam Dunk contest. Although, there was no major players this year it was still quite a show. Jeremy Evans of the Jazz won with his dunk, he dunked two balls at the same time.

Next was the Famous All-Star Game on Sunday. The games consists of the best players voted on by fans to play. One team is from the East Coast and one from the West Coast. West won with a score of 152-149. The game was a thriller to watch. Kevin Durant walked away with the MVP award this year.
